The stunning property on Uig Bay joins Scotland’s finest group of sporting estates.
Rèasort Estates today announces its acquisition of Uig Lodge on the west coast of the Isle of
Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland, expanding the number of properties the group manages
from three to four.
Uig Lodge is a traditional sporting estate that offers world-class fly fishing on the local river system in this remote corner of Scotland. Adjoining Réasort Estates’ existing properties, the
property is an important part of the outstanding tourism infrastructure found on Harris and Lewis.
Noted for its private nine-hole golf course, Uig Lodge has direct access to glorious walks along some of the country’s finest white sandy beaches. Available for exclusive use, the lodge is catered and staffed and holds a premises licence, and offers the services of a ghillie and fishing rights to the Fhorsa river.
The property provides a comfortable, homely stay for up to 17 guests across eight rooms (three doubles, five twins, one single). Four rooms have en suites, with two additional family bathrooms. The rooms feature stunning views of the surrounding mountains and white sands of Uig Bay.
Innes Morrison, Estates Manager for Rèasort Estates, said, “Our acquisition of Uig Lodge
demonstrates our strong commitment to the area of Uig and to the surrounding local
community.”
He added: “We’re sure the lodge will thrive in the coming years and provide employment
opportunities for the local community, helping keep young people in the area.”
Rèasort Estates is proud to attract visitors to Harris and Lewis from around the world, sharing the island’s special landscapes and warm welcome. The group’s existing properties are Amhuinnsuidhe Castle, Morsgail Estate, and Uig & Hamanavay Estate, each offering premium accommodation and thousands of acres of unrivalled mixed sporting opportunity. Rèasort Estates has 17 full-time-equivalent employees.
