Reasort Estates properties are situated on beautiful Harris and Lewis in Scotland’s Western Isles (also known as the Outer Hebrides). Amhuinnsuidhe Castle Estate and the cottages are located on the Isle of Harris, while the adjoining Morsgail Estate and Uig & Hamanavay Estate are both on the Isle of Lewis.
Although they may sound like separate islands, Harris and Lewis both occupy the same land mass, forming the largest island in Scotland. The boundary between Lewis and Harris runs for about 6 miles where the island narrows between Loch Reasort (opposite Scarp) on the west and Loch Seaforth (Loch Shìophoirt) on the east.
Stornoway is the ferry port and airport on the Isle of Lewis. Ferries from the Scottish mainland at Ullapool to Stornoway can be booked through Caledonian MacBrayne –telephone 0800 066 5000 or visit www.calmac.co.uk. You can also travel by ferry from Uig on Skye to Tarbert on Harris.
Loganair flies to Stornoway from Glasgow, Edinburgh or Inverness (www.loganair.co.uk). The flight time is about one hour.
